Achievement Watcher1.6.8

Achievement Watcher collects unlocked game achievements into one view on a Windows PC, including records from Steam, Steam emulators, and other supported sources. Its achievement-file parser turns opaque emulator entries such as NEW_ACHIEVEMENT_1_1 into recognizable achievement information by retrieving the corresponding data automatically. The compatibility list in the project’s Wiki identifies the sources and formats it can import.

It tracks playtime and can provide real-time alerts when an achievement is unlocked. Notifications can appear as Windows 8/10 toast messages, travel through a WebSocket for uses such as a Twitch overlay, or go through GNTP with Growl, which the project recommends for Windows 7; these alerts are notifications rather than a DirectX overlay. When souvenir options are enabled, the program automatically captures a screenshot and/or video at the moment of unlocking.

Steam data retrieval requires a Steam Web API key because the cache server was shut down, and the key is entered under Settings > Advanced. Notification behavior depends on the system’s notification configuration; Settings > Debug includes a test, while the project Wiki covers configuration details, common issues, and troubleshooting.

Achievement Watcher suits PC gamers who combine Steam libraries with emulator-based games and want achievement history, unlock alerts, playtime records, and visual souvenirs in one place. Version 1.6.8 adds Ukrainian language support and fixes a Watchdog crash when its action target does not exist.
