About

ADInstruments HRV calculates and displays variation in the time separating successive heartbeats, turning cardiovascular recordings into an analyzable view of beat timing. It accepts human or animal electrocardiogram (ECG) recordings as well as arterial pulse recordings, allowing users to assess heart-rate variability from either signal type. Its analysis tools let users inspect changes between beats while viewing the resulting interval variation on screen.

The module suits cardiovascular research, physiological studies, and laboratory work involving human subjects or animal models. A researcher can examine beat-to-beat changes in an ECG trace or use an arterial pulse trace when that is the available recording source. Its distinguishing scope is the combination of both species and both recording types in one focused analysis module.

ADInstruments HRV runs on Windows and uses the x86 architecture; the current release is version 2.0.3400. It is categorized under System Tools and published by ADInstruments. The package is identified as the HRV module within ADInstruments LabChart, placing it in that recording-analysis software family.
