agentbridge connects AI agents running on the same Windows host or on separate hosts, letting them pass work through the Agent-to-Agent (A2A) interconnect. It is a command-line binary for general-purpose agent communication, so operators use it from a Windows command prompt rather than through a graphical interface. The System Tools software is published by AGNTCY as an open-source implementation of this interconnect.

It can wrap Claude Code, Copilot, Codex, Cursor Agent, or another CliAdapter as a listener signed with a decentralized identifier (DID), then communicate with registered peers over the Secure Local Interconnect Mesh (SLIM). The list --local command shows listeners on the current machine, while delegate, handoff, and coordinate can address a slim:// peer locally or across another host. This gives teams a way to pass tasks to agents outside the locked-down machine instead of relying on ad-hoc pipes.

Within the SHADI security model, SHADI provides the local boundary for identity checks, gated secret access, operating-system sandboxing, encrypted local memory, and admission of authenticated SLIM peers. AgentBridge does not control a remote agent’s process, files, or sandbox; its controls apply to activity running on the local host. The surrounding tooling also supports verifying local agent identities before releasing secrets, restricting process access, auditing changes with snapshots and runtime inspection, and keeping memory encrypted at rest.

Version 0.1.8 runs on x64 Windows 8 or later and Windows Server 2012 or later, and suits teams coordinating coding agents across secured hosts. Users should treat it as the interconnect component within the broader SHADI ecosystem, alongside tools such as shadictl, shadi_sandbox, agent_secrets, shadi_memory, and agent_transport_slim.
