About

AirUSB Client lets a Windows computer use a USB printer or scanner over Wi-Fi when that device is connected to an AirUSB wireless print and scan bridge. It addresses setups where printing or scanning hardware is positioned on the bridge instead of plugged directly into the computer. Published by AirUSB, it is intended for people who need to access those shared peripherals across a local network.

The client automatically discovers compatible bridges on the local network, avoiding manual entry of a bridge IP address. After finding a bridge, it connects the attached printer or scanner through USB/IP so the device can be used from Windows. If the connection is interrupted, or the client is used again later, it can reconnect to the bridge automatically.

AirUSB Client also provides a way to update the bridge’s firmware, giving it a role beyond peripheral connection. It includes the usbip-win virtual host controller interface driver that enables the USB/IP link, and that driver carries a Microsoft attestation signature. Installing the driver requires administrator rights. Version 1.1.2 is an x64 release for Windows, suited to networked printing and scanning setups built around AirUSB hardware.
