Run the aither command to open an interactive Windows terminal for chatting with AitherOS agents. Keep the session in a read-eval-print loop for ongoing exchanges, or append a message to execute one request, print its response, and quit. The same terminal commands remain usable as an agent moves between a local machine, a self-hosted fleet, and a cloud API.

Agents can use tools, apply safety filtering, and retain conversation-derived entities and relationships in a local SQLite knowledge graph. Effort levels from 1 to 10 can route simple requests to faster, smaller models and demanding work to larger reasoning models. Inference can be switched during runtime among local vLLM, Ollama, llama.cpp, or Bonsai backends and cloud services from Anthropic, OpenAI, DeepSeek, or the Aitherium gateway. Fleet-oriented setups let agents delegate work to one another instead of confining every task to a single process.
