Alifix1.4

Alifix scans folders deeply to refresh Finder aliases and locate those that no longer resolve. It processes all Finder Aliases it finds, including aliases created by alisma, rather than limiting its work to a single selected item. The results identify every broken alias, while an optional text file placed beside the original can record each alias’s internal details for repair work.

It is useful before and after cloning or copying large folders or volumes, when aliases may need checking across a changed file structure. The current 1.4,2025.07 release includes a full Help book and other improvements, including faster handling of older broken aliases. This makes Alifix suited to Mac users who maintain collections of aliases or need to audit them after major file-management operations.

Developed by The Eclectic Light Company, Alifix is a System Tools utility for macOS, with builds for both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. It is distributed as freeware and focuses specifically on refreshing aliases and reporting damaged ones rather than managing the files they point to.
