About
Build repeatable data transformations by drawing connections between source and target structures in Altova MapForce 2023 Basic Edition, rather than coding each conversion by hand. Its graphical mapping engine handles any-to-any conversion, data integration, and ETL workflows, turning differently arranged input and output data into defined mappings. Once a mapping is designed, recurring transformations can be automated for repeated processing.
Maps can represent relationships across varied data formats and structures, making the program useful when systems exchange information in incompatible arrangements. Integration developers, ETL designers, and technical teams can use it for recurring imports, exports, and data-transfer routines where a visual model clarifies field relationships. The mapping approach also provides a place to organize conversion logic before it is applied repeatedly.
Altova publishes this System Tools product for Windows, and version 2023.02.00.04 targets x86 architecture. It includes an evaluation-license mode, with FlexText handling evaluation expiry through a dedicated notification. The product supports EDI-X12/HL7 mapping scenarios, including VDA EDI messages, and can add an optional standalone="yes" directive to target XML declarations.
Notable updates add comments to library elements and to the MapForce layout, helping document mappings inside the design. The release also addresses FlexText launch errors after evaluation expiry, debugger crashes involving substitute-missing-with-xsi-nil connected to XML targets, and incorrect radio-button behavior for REST Web Services request and response structures.
