Altova SchemaAgent 2023 Client analyzes XML Schema (XSD), WSDL, XSLT, and XML instance documents in file repositories and presents their connections visually. This helps XML developers and architects locate related files, assess the impact of changes, and reuse existing components instead of rebuilding them.

The design view uses graphical components and color-coded lines to show relationships between schemas, including their elements and data types. Drag-and-drop editing lets you create or modify import, include, and redefine (IIR) connections, while the application can insert the resulting IIR code into affected files automatically. Smaller XSD, XSLT, and WSDL components can therefore be combined into more complex documents, and graphical views of the XML information architecture can be saved or printed.

For XSLT work, the view covers relationships involving XSLT 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 stylesheets and shows how changes may affect connected files. Dropping a WSDL document into the design pane reveals imported WSDL and XML Schema files, inline schemas, namespaces, and definitions, with relationship changes propagated to impacted files. Users working in XMLSpy can connect to SchemaAgent and access schemas in the SchemaAgent server path, then edit SchemaAgent components in XMLSpy.
