Altova SchemaAgent 2023 Server gives development teams a shared environment for examining and managing relationships among XML Schema (XSD), WSDL, XSLT, and XML instance documents. It serves as the server-side part of a collaborative SchemaAgent setup, allowing files to be managed as a common pool across a project, intranet, or enterprise. Developers can assemble complex XML documents from distributed components, reuse established resources, and reduce duplicated development work.

The graphical design view uses components and color-coded connection lines to show related schemas, schema components, and data types. Users can analyze file repositories, identify related files, and manage import, include, and redefine (IIR) connections with drag-and-drop operations, while affected files receive the necessary IIR code automatically. Smaller XSD, XSLT, and WSDL components can be combined into larger files, and individual SchemaAgent components can be edited in XMLSpy.

Relationships among XSLT 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 stylesheets are displayed alongside their related files, making the effect of changes easier to trace and supporting graphical reuse of existing components. WSDL representations show imported WSDL and XML Schema files, inline schemas, namespaces, and definitions, with relationship changes propagated to impacted files.
