Altova UModel 2025 Professional Edition lets developers draw application models and turn those designs into Java, C++, C#, or Visual Basic .NET source code and project documentation. It can also reverse-engineer existing programs into UML diagrams, allowing teams to refine the model and regenerate implementation in a round-trip workflow.

Beyond all 14 standard UML 2.5 diagram types, UModel supports database modeling, XML Schema modeling, all nine SysML diagrams, and BPMN business-process modeling. Source-code engineering, XMI model interchange, and customizable element sizes, positions, colors, typefaces, and line styles support detailed architecture and process work. Diagram-specific toolbars, color coding, icons, entry helpers, and quick editing controls make model construction and refinement direct, while UML-style diagrams can represent XML schemas and tables in popular SQL databases.
