About

Create, edit, validate, transform, and debug XML and JSON documents in Altova XMLSpy 2023 Professional Edition, a Windows x64 application from Altova. It combines text editing with graphical views, intelligent auto-completion, real-time validation, and SmartFix corrections for structured data. Its graphical schema designer lets developers model XSD schemas and generate related development files from them.

The editor includes dedicated JSON and JSON Schema support, XPath and XQuery builders and evaluators, XSLT and XQuery transformation tools, XQuery Update Facility editing, and back-mapping for tracing transformation logic. File converters, XML-data chart generation, and support for Open XML documents help connect source data with application and reporting workflows. Debuggers and profilers cover XSD, XSLT, XQuery, XBRL, and SOAP, while the SOAP client provides a workspace for testing and debugging services.

Code generation produces Java, C#, and C++ output, and integrations with Visual Studio and Eclipse fit XML work into software development environments. SharePoint Server integration and processing through installed RaptorXML Servers extend it to enterprise content and high-volume XML operations, making it useful for application developers, integration specialists, data architects, and teams working with healthcare records, XBRL taxonomies, or business schemas.

Version 2023.02.00.04 corrects a crash when generating a sample document from a JSON Schema containing conditional structures. It also fixes misleading messages about XML schemas using xs:import without a namespace or schemaLocation, which could be reported as unloadable even though XMLSpy then loaded them.
