About

Altova XMLSpy 2025 Professional Edition lets developers edit, validate, transform, and debug XML and JSON files in one development environment. Its graphical schema designer, visual editing views, wizards, code generators, file converters, debuggers, and profilers support XSD, XSLT, XQuery, XBRL, SOAP, and related technologies. The JSON and JSON Schema editors work alongside XPath, XSLT, and XQuery transformation tools, while real-time validation against DTDs and XSDs can identify errors and apply SmartFix corrections.

Developers can build and evaluate XPath or XQuery expressions, debug and profile XSLT, trace XSLT and XQuery back to source content, and edit XQuery Update Facility operations. The package also provides a SOAP client and debugger, Java, C#, and C++ code generation, Open XML support, XML-data chart creation, and SharePoint Server integration. Visual Studio and Eclipse integration, plus processing through installed RaptorXML Servers, connects XMLSpy with development and server-based workflows.

It suits teams creating healthcare records, XBRL taxonomies, enterprise integration schemas, and other structured-data applications where syntax, validation, and transformation must be inspected closely. Multi-file search and replacement, self-transformation of XSL stylesheets, configurable Tab spacing in Text View, and printable headers and footers in Browser View address routine editing and review tasks.

Version 2025.02.00.07 revises the schema-documentation layout and prevents enclosed source XML from producing excessively wide tables in HTML output. Altova publishes this Windows software for x64 systems.
