Amazon Chime5.23.22533

Join online meetings from a Mac, move from a conversation to a voice or video call, and exchange messages with colleagues through Amazon Chime. It combines contact management with direct and group chat, while Meeting Chat supports sharing files and images during a meeting. A caller can start a call from the chat window, the recipient can answer, and either participant can enable a camera.

Before joining, Device Preview provides audio and video controls for checking settings. The Visual Roster displays attendance information, including who is present, late and expected, invited, departed, disconnected, or declined. An Audio icon indicates dial-in or in-app audio, responds when sound is detected, and can be used to mute another attendee; meeting controls also add participants, copy invitation details, or leave the call. Participants can see who is sharing a screen during a meeting.

Amazon Chime is a communication service for Mac users, available through its client or web app for online meetings across devices. It requires macOS 12 Monterey or later and supports both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs; using it requires an Amazon account with a name, work email address, password, access permission, and email verification. The macOS edition is freeware, and the current version is 5.23.22533. AWS ended support for the Amazon Chime service on February 20, 2026, so it is now intended for special cases involving joining meetings; this change does not affect the Amazon Chime SDK service.
