Anecdote1.1.5

Anecdote gathers the latest posts, jokes, and quotes from favorite entertainment sites into one lightweight reading app, so users can browse selected feeds without visiting each site separately. Its interface is designed for quick, straightforward reading while keeping the application light and fast.

The feed includes 9GAG entries with both images and videos. Quote sources include FMyLife (FML), Bash.org, Vie de Merde (VDM), Danstonchat (DTC), and other websites. Users move through an effectively endless stream and pull down to refresh its available items. People who know some HTML can extend Anecdote by adding a website of their own.

It suits casual readers checking several humor and quote sources in one sitting, as well as anyone who wants a compact way to follow familiar online feeds. The app uses no unusual permissions, background tasks, or advertising, concentrating its activity on showing feeds while it is being used. Content displayed through Anecdote remains the property of the original websites rather than Anecdote itself.

The current 1.1.5 release is open-source, requires Android 4.1 or later, and supports Universal architecture. Crash reports and limited usage details, including whether an item is shared, are sent to the upstream project’s own Countly server.
