Anecdote is an open-source Android application for reading content from favorite quote and entertainment websites. It brings selected website feeds into a simple interface rather than requiring users to visit each site separately. The application is designed to be light, fast, and straightforward to use.

Its feeds include 9GAG posts with images and videos. It also provides quote feeds from FMyLife (FML), Bash.org, Vie de Merde (VDM), Danstonchat (DTC), and other sources. Users can browse through an infinite scroll and pull down to refresh the available content. People with some HTML knowledge can add their own website to the application.

Anecdote does not use strange permissions, background tasks, or advertising. These choices keep its stated operation focused on displaying feeds when the user opens and uses the app. The content shown in the application belongs to the original websites and not to Anecdote.
