Claude Platform CLI2.7.1

Send messages to Claude and manage agents, sessions, and uploaded files directly from a terminal with Anthropic PBC’s Claude Platform CLI, also called ant. Developers and operations teams can use it for interactive API exploration, repeatable scripts, and automation that would otherwise require manually constructed HTTP requests.

Each Claude API resource appears as a dedicated subcommand, with formatted output, response filtering, automatic pagination for list operations, and YAML or JSON file input. Typed flags and piped YAML can construct request bodies without hand-written JSON, while @path references insert file contents into string fields and the built-in --transform query extracts response fields without separate JSON utilities. Claude Code can invoke ant natively, making the command set useful inside coding workflows.

For Anthropic-managed Claude Models on Google Cloud, project, workspace, and location flags support a default global location, Google project defaults, and credentials discovered through Application Default Credentials, including GOOGLE_APPLICATION_CREDENTIALS; API keys, auth tokens, or named profiles can also be selected. On AWS, --aws-region and --aws-workspace-id, ANTHROPIC_AWS_WORKSPACE_ID, or an AWS API key route signed requests through the Claude Platform on AWS gateway, with region fallback from AWS_REGION to AWS_DEFAULT_REGION and credentials from the AWS default chain.

The open-source CLI runs on x64 Windows 10 or later and Windows Server 2016 or later, and local testing or installation requires Go 1.22 or newer; API access uses a Claude Console key or a key piped from a secret manager through standard input. Version 2.7.1 adds user_profile_id to External Keys and Workspaces and fixes requests so they honor ANTHROPIC_CUSTOM_HEADERS.
