About
AntiMicro lets you assign keyboard keys and mouse controls to gamepad controls, allowing a controller to operate PC games that provide no native gamepad support. Through its graphical interface, you can create mappings that send familiar desktop inputs from physical gamepad controls and use the same approach to control other desktop applications.
It suits players adapting older or keyboard-focused games, as well as anyone who wants controller input for software normally operated with a keyboard and mouse. It supports Windows Vista and later, various Linux distributions, and FreeBSD with minimal support; Linux use requires an X environment, while Windows XP may work but is not officially supported.
Its x64 build is licensed under GPL version 3. Version 2.24.0 updates the Qt and SDL2 libraries, improves SDL2 library discovery, and fixes some compilation errors. Chinese and French translations were also updated, along with other minor improvements.
The project is no longer maintained, and its maintainers recommend AntiMicroX as the newer version. That status is important when considering AntiMicro for a new setup, while its mapping interface remains useful for existing gamepad-to-keyboard and mouse configurations.
