About
Map a gamepad’s buttons and sticks to keyboard keys, mouse buttons and movement, scripts, or macros so games and desktop programs can be controlled with a controller. Its graphical interface lets you create these assignments for games that lack native gamepad support. A profile can combine keyboard presses, mouse actions, and macros, while multiple switchable mapping sets provide different layouts for the same controller.
Auto Profiles can assign a profile to the active application window, although this feature is unavailable under Wayland. AntiMicroX runs on Windows x64 and supports various Linux distributions, with compatibility for both X.org and Wayland during general controller mapping. It can also generate SDL2 configurations, including mappings that adapt atypical gamepads to generic layouts such as Xbox 360.
This suits PC gamers using controller-unfriendly games, desktop applications controlled from a gamepad, or unusual joystick hardware that needs a standard SDL2 identity. AntiMicroX is open-source software published by Humanity, and its current version is 3.5.1.
Version 3.5.1 updates the Windows and Linux SDL mappings, adds Tamil translation, and refreshes the Spanish, French, Japanese, and Finnish translations. It also adds a Debian release for Ubuntu 24.04 and restores the --next option; development currently has limited support and is not expected to add new features unless external contributors provide them.
