Save individual webpages and the resources you choose as WARC or WACZ archive files while browsing with ArchiveWeb.page. Its interactive capture process lets you decide page by page what enters the collection, preserving selected online sources for later reference instead of relying on material that may change. Researchers, journalists, librarians, and anyone building a personal record of online material can use it to document changing information during ordinary browsing.

ArchiveWeb.page is available as both a browser extension and a standalone macOS application, accommodating browser-based and separate archival workflows. Captured material can be opened in the browser where it was collected, so pages and saved resources can be reviewed within the same archival workspace. The resulting archives can also be opened in ReplayWeb.page for playback without the ArchiveWeb.page extension.

Unlike an automated site crawler, it is designed for deliberate, page-by-page collection, while Webrecorder’s separate Browsertrix product is intended for crawling entire sites automatically. Version 0.17.1 runs on macOS 12 Monterey or later and supports both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. It is freeware in the System Tools category, and its Mac format suits personal research collections, documentation of changing online material, and selected captures made during everyday browsing.
