AwesomeBump
AwesomeBump is a free program written using Qt library designed to generate normal, height, specular or ambient occlusion textures from a single image. Since the image processing is done in 99% on GPU the program runs very fast and all the parameters can be changed in real time. AB was made to be a new alternative to known gimp plugin called Ins…

About
AwesomeBump is a free Windows application for working with image-based surface and material textures. It provides tools for converting, extracting, analyzing, and combining maps used to represent surface detail. This makes it relevant to texture artists and other users who need to prepare related texture images from existing source material.
It can convert normal maps to height maps and height maps, also called bump maps, to normal maps. It can extract bump information from arbitrary images and calculate ambient occlusion and specularity. Perspective transformation supports changing the visual perspective of an image. Seamless textures can be created with a simple linear filter, random mode, or mirror filter.
AwesomeBump can generate roughness and metallic textures using different types of surface analysis. It includes real-time tessellation, allows editing of a texture containing different materials, and can add grunge using a grunge texture. A normal map mixer can combine two bump maps, and processed images can be saved as PNG, JPG, BMP, or TGA files.
As a Windows entry in a download catalog, it fits the category of graphics and texture-processing software rather than a general image viewer. MirrorNest does not host a mirrored copy of AwesomeBump; it links directly to the official release. This arrangement sends users to the original release location while keeping the catalog entry focused on identifying the software and its platform. The project is written in Qt, and its build instructions refer to installing the Qt SDK before downloading the project from its repository, building it, and running it.
