Published by Axis Communications as a System Tools product, this x64 Windows extension is part of a self-hosted, on-premises solution built for the XProtect platform. During an incident, staff can exchange two-way situational awareness with officers, guards, and other people in the field. Events and evidence can be recorded, stored, viewed, replayed, exported, and shared for later investigation, analysis, or documentation.

XProtect can show multiple camera views in one interface, while its rules engine can trigger responses to live events through Milestone SmartClient or the mobile app. Users can search for evidence and view or label footage from a mobile device or XProtect Smart Client. The solution supports Axis body worn cameras, docking stations, system controllers, and the AXIS Optimizer Body Worn Extension plugin, while open standards support interoperability with third-party systems.
