Use a terminal to work with balenaCloud or openBalena through balena’s official command-line interface. balena CLI (Install) sends commands through the balena API, giving developers and operators a direct way to interact with balena services from a shell. The CLI itself is designed for Linux, macOS, and Windows, with this edition intended for Windows users.
Commands can be entered interactively in a command prompt or terminal window, making it practical for direct administration and day-to-day platform tasks. The same commands can be invoked from scripts, allowing repeatable operations to fit into automated workflows. Built on the balena API and balena SDK, the tool connects terminal-based work with balena’s programming interfaces. Node.js developers can also import the CLI into their applications instead of using it only as an external command.
It is aimed at people who prefer command-line interaction when working with balena services, including developers building scripts and applications around the platform. Published by Juan Cruz Viotti, balena CLI (Install) is freeware for Windows. The current version is 25.2.9.
