Beersmith

BeerSmith helps home brewers develop beer recipes and organize their brewing work in software dedicated to making beverages at home. It covers beer, mead, wine, and cider recipes, giving users a focused workspace instead of a general-purpose computing program. Recipe, equipment, and brew-tracking capabilities can vary by release, so those details should be checked for the specific edition in use.

The Windows edition is version 2.2.12.0, published by Bradley J. Smith, PhD, and offered as freeware. BeerSmith 4 extends the product family with desktop editions for Mac, PC, and Linux, plus a browser-based version that can be used on a phone or tablet while keeping one view of the user’s data. A free trial is available across devices, and desktop and web licenses are offered for the BeerSmith 4 service.

Brewers can supplement the software with brewing articles, a podcast featuring interviews with professional brewers, and a forum for discussing techniques, recipes, ingredients, and BeerSmith itself. Dozens of video tutorials cover the desktop, web, and mobile editions, while additional articles address advanced features. A Gold+ license includes the web editor for phone or tablet use, and a separate mobile app is available for Android or iPhone.
