BetterTouchTool (Alpha)6.910

Map a three-finger swipe on a MacBook trackpad to switching desktops, opening an app, or any other chosen action with BetterTouchTool (Alpha). It customizes gestures on the MacBook trackpad, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Mouse, along with mouse buttons, keyboard shortcuts, the menu bar, Stream Deck, and other input controls.

The app provides more than 600 triggers and more than 600 built-in actions, which can be chained into multi-step automations. Mouse configurations support button chords, button-plus-scroll combinations, modifier keys, custom shapes, trackpad-like scrolling, and Logitech controls without extra drivers. Users can also create presets, plugins, and widgets, run lengthy tasks in the background, and make one-trigger commands for repetitive work such as organizing files or renaming pictures.

Its agents can connect with OpenAI, Anthropic, local models, and other services, with separate instructions for each app; they can summarize a page, document, or selected text and revise selected writing. A fast launcher searches apps, windows, files, actions, and calendar events, calculates, browses the clipboard, and runs triggers, while multiple launchers can operate in parallel with their own pinned items. BetterTouchTool suits Mac users who want gesture-driven window control, keyboard and mouse customization, or compact automations for daily tasks.

It runs on macOS 12 Monterey or newer on Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. Version 6.910,2026100802 is freeware, making its extensive input customization and automation available without a purchase.
