BetterUntis lets students open their current Untis timetable on a smartphone and check school schedule information away from a desktop. It serves as an alternative mobile client for schools and other organizations that use the Untis timetable system. Students, teachers, and other timetable users can use it when they need quick access to lessons during the school day.

The school must provide Untis for the app to work with its timetable data. When the school does not allow anonymous access, a valid account for the current timetable is required. Users can adjust almost every part of the timetable’s presentation, choosing among several themes, including a dark mode. Multiple profiles can be stored in one app, with each profile retaining its own timetable and display preferences.

BetterUntis can notify users about the next lesson, making upcoming schedule changes easier to notice. Proxy-server support provides an option for organizations or individuals whose privacy or network-access requirements call for one. The app runs on Android 5.0 and newer, with support for arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 devices. The current release is 5.0.0-beta04, and the software is distributed under an open-source license.
