Bolt: Request a Ride

Enter a destination in Bolt: Request a Ride, choose a transport option, and request a driver for a local journey. The service covers trips across town, airport transfers, shorter scooter journeys, and parcel delivery through its Send ride type. Rides can also be scheduled from 30 minutes to 90 days before the planned pickup.

Available ride choices include Comfort, Premium, Electric, and XL, with the fare shown before the journey begins. Payment can be made by credit or debit card, Google Pay, or cash, and real-time tracking shows the driver’s location. After reaching the destination, passengers can rate the experience. Bolt also provides scooters and e-bikes, while Bolt Drive offers car sharing with electric and hybrid cars.

Safety features include an emergency assist button, audio recording of the trip, and concealed phone details when contacting the driver; some of these tools require Bolt to operate in the background. The service is available in 50 countries and more than 600 cities, making it useful for commuters, travelers, airport passengers, and people sending parcels.

The current version improves speed and reliability for a more consistent experience.
