Borhan1.4.4

Borhan lets readers browse the Quranic text and read translations and interpretations within the same Linux program. It is an educational resource for students, language learners, and anyone conducting individual or comparative Quran study. The available languages are Amazigh, Albanian, Amharic, Arabic, Azerbaijani, Bengali, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Czech, Divehi, Dutch, English, French, German, Hausa, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Kurdish, Malay, Malayalam, Norwegian, Pashto, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Sindhi, Somali, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Tajik, Tamil, Tatar, Thai, Turkish, Urdu, Uyghur, Uzbek, and Chinese.

Alongside the scripture and its accompanying material, Borhan presents this passage: We believe in God and what has been sent down to us, and what had been revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and their progeny, and that which was given to Moses and Christ, and to all other prophets by the Lord. We make no distinction among them, and we submit to Him. Its multilingual content suits reading sessions where a user studies one translation closely or consults several languages for a broader understanding.

Borhan 1.4.4 is published by Kiavash as open-source software. It runs on Linux with snapd and supports x86_64, also known as amd64, systems. Users should therefore have a Linux environment with snapd on that architecture to use the program. Its focus on scripture, translations, and interpretations makes it suited to home study, religious education, and multilingual reference work.
