About
Run btm in a terminal to watch active processes and system activity through a graphical display. bottom turns command-line monitoring into an at-a-glance view while remaining inside the terminal environment. Its customizable interface lets users adjust the monitoring experience to suit their preferred layout and workflow.
The program is cross-platform, with support for Windows, Linux, and macOS. It suits administrators, developers, and technically minded users who need to inspect running processes or system behavior from a command-line session. Its design draws inspiration from gtop, gotop, and htop, placing it alongside established terminal monitoring utilities.
The Windows package depends on the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, so that runtime must be present for this build.
Version 0.15.0 is published by Clement Tsang and distributed as freeware. The official bottom repository provides the program’s operating and usage reference for users who want more detail about its commands and configurable interface.
Requires Windows 8+ · Server 2012+ · Architecture: x64
