Brewy lets Mac users inspect and manage Homebrew from a native graphical interface instead of entering commands in Terminal. It brings together installed formulae, casks, Mac App Store apps, pinned packages, leaves, and outdated packages, while Discover searches Homebrew formulae and casks and installs selections directly. Package pages show versions, dependencies, reverse dependencies, and recursive dependency trees, and controls cover installing, uninstalling, upgrading, reinstalling, fetching, pinning, unpinning, linking, and unlinking.

People who already use Homebrew can upgrade everything outdated or choose individual packages, manage services by starting, stopping, restarting, or cleaning up stale entries, and maintain taps with checks for archived, moved, or missing GitHub repositories. Custom collections group packages by project, role, or cleanup task, while action history records operations and allows safe retries of failed commands. Maintenance tools run brew doctor, update Homebrew, remove orphaned packages, and clear caches with dry-run previews before destructive work.

Brewy also provides a menu bar extra showing the current outdated count and offering quick refresh or upgrade actions. Settings support light, dark, or system appearance, menu bar visibility, a configurable brew path, and an automatic refresh interval, with app updates delivered through Sparkle. The optional mas utility supplies the Mac App Store view and can be installed through Homebrew.

Brewy 0.26.0 is freeware for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 15 Sequoia or later, and Homebrew must already be installed; it defaults to /opt/homebrew/bin/brew, though that location can be changed in Settings. Developers can contribute through GitHub with an account, while everyday use centers on the existing Homebrew installation.
