BTCPayServer Vault gives web applications a way to access a hardware wallet connected to a Mac. It serves as the intermediary between the web application and the wallet, addressing the gap between browser-based services and a device that stores or handles wallet operations. A user keeps Vault available while working in the relevant web application, allowing that service to communicate with the hardware wallet through it.
The software is intended for people whose digital-asset workflow depends on a hardware wallet but is conducted through web applications. It can fit individual use as well as organizational workflows where a web service must interact with a dedicated wallet device. Its narrowly focused role distinguishes it from a general wallet interface: Vault concentrates on enabling access from web applications rather than presenting a separate wallet-management environment.
BTCPayServer Vault runs on macOS and the current release is 3.0.1. This release is built for Apple Silicon systems using the arm64 architecture.
