About
Load a 3-axis GCode program into CAMotics and view the projected machining result as a three-dimensional model before sending the job to a CNC machine. The simulator follows the programmed tool path, letting you inspect how the cutter is expected to move and what shape the operation should produce. This preview helps expose tool-path mistakes before material is cut and supports more deliberate CNC preparation.
CAMotics is designed for simulating GCode made for 3-axis CNC work, with its central workflow focused on reviewing paths and examining the resulting geometry. Users can visualize a design, assess the planned machining operation, and refine the program before committing tools or stock to the job. Its scope is specifically centered on three-axis programs rather than broader CNC motion simulation.
The software suits CNC programmers, machinists, designers, and operators who create, review, or run GCode, including people checking a job during design or preparing it for production. Built-in examples provide practical material for learning the workflow, while online documentation explains additional aspects of using the program and a discussion group offers a place to ask questions.
The Windows release is version 1.2.0, published by the CAMotics Team and distributed as freeware. CAMotics is most useful when a CNC workflow benefits from a visual check of the tool path before machining begins, combining program simulation with an immediately inspectable 3D representation.
