Cantara2.7.1

Turn song lyrics into readable presentation slides for a church service, small-group gathering, or karaoke event with Cantara. It accepts common lyric files, including CCLI SongSelect files, and can prepare an event presentation within seconds. The resulting slides can be shown directly across multiple screens or adapted for other parts of an event workflow.

Colors, fonts, background images, brightness, and transparency are adjustable through the settings. Cantara can present and export lyrics in two languages at the same time, making bilingual services and events easier to manage. Presentations can be exported as pictures or PPTX files for use with LibreOffice Impress and Microsoft PowerPoint, and they can be incorporated into streaming workflows using OBS. Lyrics can also be exported as text, WhatsApp messages, HTML pages, and other formats for sharing.

Cantara runs on Linux and has a footprint of less than 10 MB, allowing it to run on older computers and devices such as a Raspberry Pi. It is open-source and is intended for worship teams, event presenters, small groups, and karaoke hosts who need quick lyric preparation with flexible output options. Version 2.7.1 adds a button for turning the presentation screen black during a presentation, with the B key providing the same control. This release also fixes memory leaks and crashes related to presentation shutdown, settings previews, and form or canvas cleanup.
