Captin2.0.1

Captin shows the current Caps Lock status on a Mac, giving you a direct visual indication of whether the key is active before or during text entry. It addresses the interruption of discovering that a passage was entered with the wrong capitalization state. The display is useful for writing, data entry, coding, and other tasks where keyboard input must be checked as you work.

You use Captin by keeping its status indication available and consulting it whenever you need to verify Caps Lock. Its feature set is deliberately focused on reporting the state of that key, so the relevant keyboard status remains the central thing to monitor. This single-purpose approach distinguishes Captin from broader utilities by presenting one specific piece of input information without unrelated functions.

Captin is freeware for MacOS, with current version 2.0.1 available for Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. It is intended for Mac users who want dedicated confirmation of a lock-key state during routine keyboard work. The program answers one practical question immediately: whether the Caps Lock setting is active when the next text is entered.
