CaSS brings competency and skills information into a dedicated Windows system, giving organizations a place to store, organize, and access this material. It helps interpret talent data collected by different organizations when their systems, purposes, and structures differ.

Users can define and share competencies through global identifiers that any connected system can access at any time. Applications plug into CaSS through simple APIs, which can also direct learning and training according to competency data. Alignments between competencies, frameworks, and resources help people find supporting courses, assessments, books, games, and other learning materials.

CaSS stores and provides secure access to competency-based profiles, transcripts, badges, credentials, and related information for hiring and education. Customizable controls determine who can view, access, or edit competencies, while integrations connect the system with learning management systems and sources such as O*NET. Competencies can be imported and exported in various commonly used formats.
