CClauncher10.7.5

Swipe up from the home screen to search for an app by name instead of browsing a crowded grid of icons. CClauncher keeps installed apps hidden by default, reducing the visual pull of social media and other attention-demanding apps. A long press on an empty area opens its settings, where the home-screen behavior can be adjusted.

The launcher includes screen-time tracking to support digital-wellbeing habits. Swipe-left, swipe-right, swipe-up, and swipe-down gestures can each be assigned to shortcuts, while a double tap can lock the screen. Double-tap locking must first be enabled in Android’s Accessibility settings.

Apps may be renamed or hidden, which is useful when multiple installed apps have identical or confusing names. The minimal interface uses plain black or white wallpapers and includes no advertisements, tracking, or internet permission. It suits people who want a quieter phone home screen, particularly when a large app collection makes it difficult to avoid distractions.

CClauncher is an open-source Android launcher, rewritten in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose from the earlier Clauncher while preserving its minimal approach. Version v10.7.5 restores the default behavior in which tapping to open the app drawer is disabled, addressing the change associated with issue #149. It requires Android 7.0 or later and runs on arm64-v8a devices.
