Cirrus1.16

Cirrus lets you inspect the contents of iCloud Drive folders and investigate problems with their synchronization. It gives you detailed information about the files and folders held in iCloud, making it easier to see what is stored remotely and how those items are represented locally. The software is aimed at Mac users troubleshooting iCloud behavior or managing storage across iCloud Drive.

Its four main functions let you download iCloud items to local storage, evict them from local storage while retaining them in iCloud, perform a test-file upload, and examine iCloud-related log activity. The test upload can help release files that are stuck in a pending-upload state, while the log browser supplies specialized diagnostic information. An updated iCloud Browser also obtains information directly from iCloud.

Cirrus is a System Tools utility for MacOS, available as freeware in version 1.16,2025.06 for both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. The log browser requires running Cirrus as an administrator because it uses the macOS log show command, which only works reliably with administrative privileges. It suits people diagnosing iCloud Drive issues, checking folder contents, or deciding which cloud items should occupy local disk space.
