Cosmic Comics2.1.0

Cosmic Comics lets you read comics, manga, and ebooks from a single library, picking up each book at the page where you stopped. It organizes collections by series and book, with Read, Unread, and Reading statuses, alongside Favorites and ratings for tracking what to revisit.

The reader opens CBR, CBZ, CB7, ZIP, RAR, 7z, and TAR archives, as well as PDF and EPUB files, and it can display folders containing PNG, JPG, JPEG, BMP, and other image files. Covers can be fetched or extracted from available sources or entered manually, while metadata can come from Google Books, AniList, Metron, Open Library, the Marvel API, or manual entry.

Page controls include zoom, automatic background color, double-page display, blank-first-page handling, and an option to avoid double-page mode for horizontal images. Manga Mode, Webtoon Mode, fullscreen viewing, rotation, bookmarks, slideshows, a sidebar, a hidden menu bar, and a magnifier offer alternate ways to navigate pages; Guided Reading Mode uses a local AI model, and detailed metadata can be shown for comics, manga, and ebooks. The Marvel API has shut down, so it is no longer an active metadata source.

Downloaders for Marvel Unlimited, MangaDex, DC Infinite, Viz, and GetComics extend its use to those services, some of which require subscriptions and account credentials. Published by Arnaud BEUX, Cosmic Comics 2.1.0 is open-source education software for Linux on x86_64 (amd64) systems and requires snapd. The available build follows the official build.
