Discord Canary1.0.1314

Discord Canary lets you join text, voice, and video chats for gaming sessions, casual conversations, or communities built around shared interests. It is Discord’s alpha build for Windows, giving users earlier access to features than the stable and PTB builds. Published by Discord Inc., the current version is 1.0.1314 and the software is freeware.

Users can personalize their space with custom emoji, stickers, soundboard effects, avatars, custom statuses, and written profiles. High-quality, low-latency streaming supports watching games, shows, and photos together, or sharing a screen while doing homework. Voice and text channels let people drop in and leave without placing a call or sending an invitation, so group conversations can continue before, during, and after a game.

Discord also shows which friends are available, playing games, or hanging out; for supported games, it can display their modes or characters and let others join directly. Built-in games, video watching, music listening, meme sharing, calls, and video chats keep different activities in one group conversation, while the service works across PC, phone, and console and supports managing multiple group chats.

Canary is aimed at users willing to accept reduced stability in exchange for trying Discord changes sooner, rather than people who prefer the more established behavior of the stable build. As an alpha client, it is less stable than the stable and PTB releases, and it automatically updates to later Canary releases.
