Signal lets you exchange encrypted messages and communicate by call through an Internet connection. It supports direct one-to-one conversations as well as discussions involving groups, with communication handled from the same computer. A message can include a file, voice note, image, or video. Signal also provides one-to-one voice calls and one-to-one video calls.

It serves individuals handling private chats and groups coordinating conversations from a computer, bringing text, attachments, and live calls into one client. Typical uses include personal correspondence, group planning, and remote discussions that require both asynchronous messages and live calls.

Signal Messenger, LLC publishes the software under an open-source license. Version 8.34.0 is the current release. The supported environment uses x64 architecture with Windows 10 or later, or Windows Server 2016 or later.
