DMTNormalization1.4.3400

DMTNormalization calculates a vessel’s normalized internal circumference for experiments on isolated vessels. It works as a LabChart module, adding the normalization function to measurements made with Danish Myo Technology wire myographs. The result helps laboratory researchers establish the correct mechanical starting conditions for an in vitro vessel experiment.

Its main calculation identifies the micrometer position at which the vessel should have an appropriate initial wall tension. This connects the vessel’s normalized geometry with the physical adjustment of the myograph before recording begins. The module is therefore intended for a specific vessel-testing procedure rather than for general-purpose analysis of laboratory data.

ADInstruments develops DMTNormalization for laboratory users whose work combines LabChart, isolated-vessel preparations, and DMT wire myographs. It is a Windows program built for x86 architecture, and the current version is 1.4.3400. LabChart and the Danish Myo Technology wire-myograph setup are part of the working environment in which its normalization and micrometer-setting calculations are used.
