DocFx Companion Tools

Turn a folder of Markdown files and source files into DocFX documentation with the utilities in DocFx Companion Tools. Created by Laurent Ellerbach and Martin Tirion, the package brings together tools for preparing, organizing, checking, translating, and converting documentation; its current version is 2.0.0.

DocFxTocGenerator examines a folder structure containing MD files and builds a matching table of contents for documentation navigation. DocLinkChecker validates links and attachments referenced by MD files, helping identify broken documentation references during preparation and review.

DocLanguageTranslator automatically translates MD files through Azure Cognitive Services, adding translation to the same documentation workflow. DocFxOpenApi converts existing OpenAPI specification files into a format compatible with DocFX, so API descriptions can be incorporated into generated documentation.

The utilities suit developers, technical writers, and documentation maintainers who organize Markdown content, check its references, translate it, or connect API specifications with DocFX projects.
