Droid Pad turns an Android device into a configurable control surface for systems reachable through WebSocket, Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), MQTT, TCP, or UDP. You can assemble a custom pad by dragging interface elements into place, then use buttons, sliders, and switches to send commands and adjust connected systems in real time. This replaces a fixed remote with controls shaped around the system you need to operate.

For WebSocket, MQTT, TCP, UDP, and Bluetooth connections, the app acts as a client that connects to the relevant server and maps pad interactions to that connection. With BLE, Droid Pad functions as a peripheral and GATT server, sending notifications when buttons are pressed, sliders are changed, or switches are toggled. You can change a pad’s connection type when circumstances change, without maintaining a second copy of the same interface. Scripts can alter the displayed state of switches, sliders, LEDs, and gauges, allowing interface feedback to update independently of direct touches.
