DwellClick2.3.2

DwellClick lets you click and drag on a Mac without physically pressing a mouse button: move the pointer to a target and pause for a single click. Double-click, secondary click (Control-click), and drag actions are available from an on-screen control panel or through keyboard shortcuts. Auto Drag can take over dragging windows, resize handles, and sliders, while Quick Drag starts a drag with a quick flick of the pointer.

It is designed for people who cannot use a physical mouse button or find clicking difficult, tiring, or painful, including users adapting to paralysis, mobility limitations, or repetitive strain injury. DwellClick works with a conventional mouse or trackpad and keyboard, and can also be part of a fully hands-free setup using hardware such as a head tracker.

The current 2.3.2 release runs on macOS 11.5 or later as a Universal app for Intel and Apple silicon processors. This release adds triple-click to the floating control panel and keyboard-shortcut list, corrects the display of alternative shortcuts in Popup preferences, and revises interface capitalization and hyphenation. The preceding updates also improved resize-edge detection for Auto Drag on newer macOS versions and refined popup behavior while moving the pointer or holding modifier keys.

DwellClick is freeware and open source under the Apache License 2.0, maintained by Nick Moore. It suits users who need dwell-based clicking for everyday Mac interaction rather than repeated-click automation or fast clicking in games.
