About
Control one Android device from another Android phone or tablet, viewing and operating the remote screen through Easy Control Next. Pairing by code makes it possible to connect compatible devices without relying on a cable-based control workflow.
Easy Control Next is an open-source Android implementation of scrcpy, using modified scrcpy server code to run remote control between Android devices. It supports Android 11 and later pairing-code connections, and offers several device-specific options when a device is added. Those settings can adjust behavior such as screen resolution and screen-awake timing, while an option to launch a particular app can focus the session on one application.
The project suits support technicians, household users, vehicle-mounted Android setups, and people controlling a phone from another Android device or a VR headset such as Quest. Testing covers Android phones running Android 9 or later and Philips Android TVs based on Android 11 for TV; car, VR, and other specialized Android hardware may react differently to screen-awake or resolution changes. Its built-in recovery guidance addresses restoring screen resolution and correcting screen-off timeout changes.
The app requires Android 5.0 or later and is available for arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, and x86 architectures. It uses ADB commands and a device-side server process based on an embedded easycontrolnext_server component to inspect display details, apply display settings, and control the target. Version 1.1.1 fixes an issue that prevented certain libraries from being stripped.
