EasyFind5.0.2

EasyFind locates files and folders by name and searches the contents of any file, giving Mac users an alternative when Spotlight is too general. Searches can target names, text, tags, or comments, so results can be narrowed by the information attached to an item as well as by its filename. Queries support Boolean operators modeled on those used by DEVONthink and DEVONagent, along with wildcards, exact phrases, and regular expressions.

Unlike index-based search tools, EasyFind works without creating an index, responds quickly, and uses very little memory. It displays previews of matching items and provides additional ways to work with the results after they are found. The program suits anyone who needs to locate overlooked documents, folders, or text across a Mac, particularly when searching by content or metadata rather than by filename alone.

This freeware System Tools utility runs on macOS and is available for both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. Version 5.0.2 requires OS X El Capitan or a later release.
