EasyReflectometry0.0.12

Adjust layered-model parameters and compare simulated reflectometry profiles with experimental measurements in EasyReflectometry’s graphical interface. The software brings reflectometry modelling and analysis into one workflow, helping users study data and refine structural parameters without switching between separate graphical tools. Sub33 publishes it as open-source Education software for Linux.

Layered structures drive profile simulation, while fitting engines, also called minimizers, refine model parameters against experimental data. Its tabbed interface combines capabilities from refnx and refl1d, with these reflectometry packages and other dependencies included in the all-in-one application. Changing a parameter directly or moving a sidebar slider recalculates the simulated curve live.

Step-by-step guides and video tutorials help students, researchers, and practitioners learn reflectometry modelling or analyze measurements in laboratory and educational settings. The accompanying Python library documentation covers using EasyReflectometry programmatically as well as through its graphical interface. Anyone may use the software, and its source code is openly shared on GitHub.

The current version is 0.0.12, requiring Linux with snapd on x86_64 (amd64) hardware. The project also describes operation on macOS and Windows, including macOS 14 on Apple Silicon.
