About
easyroam installs an EAP-TLS Wi-Fi access profile on a Linux computer, allowing the computer to authenticate with the eduroam infrastructure. Within the same app, users can manage access profiles for all of their devices that use easyroam. The installed profile is made available to the operating system, but easyroam does not actively manage the computer’s Wi-Fi connection.
This separation makes it useful to students, staff, and other people whose institution participates in easyroam and who use eduroam on multiple devices. A typical use is preparing the institution’s access profile for system-level authentication while leaving connection control to the computer’s existing network facilities. The institution’s participation in the easyroam program is a prerequisite for using this profile service.
The current version, 1.4.5, requires Linux with snapd and is built for amd64 architecture. The software is published by Verein zur Förderung eines Deutschen Forschungsnetzes e. V. under a commercial license.
Requires Linux + snapd · Architecture: amd64
