EinkBro

EinkBro is an open-source web browser for Android, listed in the Internet & Browsers category. It is designed for E-Ink devices such as e-readers and e-note tablets, with controls and display choices suited to reading on those screens. Page turns can be controlled by tapping screen edges or pressing physical volume keys. The browser uses a reader mode with clean typography, supports vertical reading for CJK text, and offers custom fonts, adjustable font size, and a bold-text toggle.

EinkBro includes tools for working with page content through supported AI services. It can chat about the current page, summarize it, run multi-step agent workflows, read articles aloud with natural text-to-speech voices, and translate pages by paragraph or in a side-by-side layout. The available integrations include OpenAI, Gemini, Ollama, and custom servers. Its built-in Tampermonkey-style userscript engine can run community scripts, including scripts from Greasy Fork, with GM APIs, per-script menu commands, automatic URL matching, and script updates.

For saving and exporting, the browser can create EPUB files with chapters and images, save pages as PDFs with table-of-contents entries, append pages to an existing PDF, archive pages as MHT, capture full-page screenshots, and send pages to Instapaper. Browsing controls include an ad blocker, JavaScript and cookie whitelists, tracking-parameter pruning, incognito mode, and a per-site desktop mode. Android permissions may include internet access, storage access for downloads and PDF or EPUB files, shortcut installation for Home-screen web shortcuts, and location access only when a website requests it.
