Electrum-LTC4.2.2.1

Electrum-LTC lets users hold, send, receive, and recover Litecoin through a desktop wallet for macOS. It creates a unique secret phrase, or seed, that can restore the wallet after hardware or software failure and protect access to funds when kept private. The seed may be written on paper or memorized, giving users a way to regain their wallet if the computer is lost or damaged.

The wallet never sends private keys or the seed to Electrum-LTC servers, and it verifies information received from them with Simplified Payment Verification (SPV). It can generate and manage offline wallets for cold storage, keeping some or all Litecoin funds completely offline. Users can export private keys to other Litecoin clients when they want to access their funds elsewhere. Electrum-LTC is a community-maintained port of Electrum, the Bitcoin wallet, adapted for Litecoin rather than an official product of Electrum Technologies GmbH, which does not support it.

It suits Litecoin holders who want desktop custody, seed-based recovery, or offline storage, as well as users transferring keys between Litecoin clients. The current version is 4.2.2.1 and supports both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. It is freeware and belongs to the Finance & Shopping category. Anyone upgrading from an earlier version should back up the wallet or seed beforehand.
