Elliptic Curve Plotter1.1.6

Sketch an elliptic curve, inspect its plotted form, and experiment with the operations of its group law in Elliptic Curve Plotter. This graphical application turns those constructions into visual output that can be saved as image files for later use.

It exports results as PNG raster graphics or SVG vector graphics, allowing the same work to be used in compatible documents and tools. The software supports educational exploration of a subject central to number theory and current mathematical research, with applications in elliptic-curve cryptography (ECC) and integer factorization. It suits lessons, demonstrations, and independent study in which users want to draw curves and examine group-law behavior visually.

On Linux, it requires snapd and runs on x86_64 (amd64) systems. Stefan Kebekus of the University of Freiburg, Germany, wrote it using the Qt library; its source code is available through GitLab, and Qt library source is available as well. The developer also provides a browser-based version and a macOS X disk image offered as a Universal Binary for all Apple computers. Version 1.1.6 is open source under the GNU General Public License version 3 or any later version, and publications using its images may include a reference to the project.
