About

Plan pilotage, routes, and coastal passages around England and Ireland with marine information that turns real-time conditions into practical decisions at sea. eOceanic combines charts, traditional pilotage, and travel-guide knowledge so sailors can explore more confidently while underway or anchored. Its tools organize local insight around the boat’s situation, from finding coastal attractions and nearby resources to choosing an approach and a suitable berth.

The app works alongside an existing onboard plotter and preferred navigation application rather than replacing them. Across the south coast of England and the entire coast of Ireland, it connects local coastal details into one additional layer for exploration. Spatially aware monitoring watches for hazards, alerts the crew when their course approaches one, and helps guide them clear.

Authoritative coastline information can remain on the device for use with or without a signal, while a single interface brings together the data needed to make timely decisions. Its active guidance is built around autonomy, agency, and agility, adding live situational awareness to otherwise separate navigation, pilotage, and travel information.

eOceanic is intended for professional and novice boaters, including coastal trips shared with family or friends. Published by Mike Sheldon, version 1.0.5 runs on Linux with snapd on amd64 systems and is commercially licensed.
